I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month.
The second month of the new year is almost over, life seems to be getting back to normal and even though I live where it doesn’t snow, I love looking at winter decor. I love adding that bit of flocked items in my home. This mantel by MaLea of @lifeonbrushycreek on Instagram shows how to add that bit of snowy winter to your decor. I love the evergreen tree in the bucket and the snowy picture.
Do you decorate with winter items in your home?
It’s strawberry season in Central Florida right now and it doesn’t take long to fill up a bucket with these huge berries. I have been going to a u-pick farm for a couple of years now and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The rows are so clean, the weather was sunny and the most perfect temperature. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
Blueberry season is in a few weeks and I can’t wait. I’m on my last bag in the freezer.

I don’t really decorate for the winter, but I decorate for the winter seasons. I just put away my Valentine’s Day decor.
I’ve always wanted to go strawberry picking. We actually have a number of local places but we haven’t been yet.
I wish it was strawberry season here! I am so ready for spring! I want to cook with fresh/home-grown ingredients!
We are a little bit boring when it comes to home decorating. Winter is not like Halloween so we just try and wait it out until Spring.
We have purchased several pints of strawberries recently that were especially big and delicious. So good dipped in a little marshmallow fluff and cream cheese.
Beautiful winter mantel piece.
That Eleanor Roosevelt was a smart cookie.
