20 Of My Favorite Organizing Items

Are you having a hard time trying to get things organized in your home or office? Here are some of my favorite picks to help with organizing.
Oh, my how I have let some areas in my home get so unorganized. Just when I think all is good, a few months pass and we don’t put things back the way they should be and what a mess! Over the years I have learned how using simple items can keep areas in the home tidy and neat.
It’s so much easier to get rid of the clutter, keep it from piling back up, then wait until it gets out of hand. Has that happened to you? I know it has to me. Things are so much easier to find and it also gives you a reason to take unwanted items to Goodwill or other organizations which need donated items.
Having clutter can also cause bugs to hang around and who wants that in their home? Here in Florida, we have to keep paper and boxes off the floor for long periods of time because Palmetto Bugs like to eat them. They are like a form of giant roaches!! EW!!
So, let’s see what items will help with organizing to get rid of the clutter in our homes and garages.
My pantry became a disaster at one point, and I had to get it organized quickly. Containers and a lazy susan really helped with that problem. The cabinet pull-out organizer is a lifesaver under the kitchen sink. The cookie sheet organizer is so good for all those flat pans and lids too.
I use baskets everywhere. I have a heavy-duty basket where I keep my hand weights in for workouts, larger plastic ones in my office closet, woven baskets to hold rolled-up socks in my closet and the metal baskets are great in the garage.
The bathroom is the next place I want to tackle. I have baskets in the cabinets, but I really like the over cabinet door basket for my hairdryer.
I could NOT live without my label maker. I use it for so many things. The sticky notes are great for notebook dividers and note-taking. My fav sticky notes. The rolling mesh cart sits next to my office desk where I can always get to my grocery coupons when I am making my grocery list. My next purchase will be the password book. I love the design and size of it. I am also purchasing one for my mom. She seems to never be able to find her username and password. 😉
The garage. Whew! What can I say about the garage except that it seems to collect more than any other room in our home? But we have learned if we hang things on the wall, it really does save space. That garage door organizer has my eye next.

I need to get these. I have to organize so many rooms! I’m just being lazy about it. I would like to get baskets and such to keep everything in once place.
I have used a lot of those kitchen organization tools, but I need that sports rack. I haven’t even begun to start organizing my garage, but it is a must as my next project.

Oh, how I have loved to clean and organize all my life. This year, though, life itself keeps getting in the way of my getting much done. It has taken all spring long to get half my house thoroughly cleaned. Thankful that I have kept one step ahead of most messes so there isn’t a lot of picking up to do before I dive into the heavy duty stuff.
I like all of the organizational ideas and gadgets you shared. I am looking for something like the bathtub caddy you shared but for my kitchen sink. The sponge, the scrubber keep things messy and soapy no matter how much I try to wipe up and dry everything off. I had a suction cup basket for the sink to keep them in but it fell into the sink more than it clung to the side! If you come across anything like that, please holler!!

I’m in the spring cleaning process right now and could use some of these cute baskets to store things.
We have that same drawer organizer and it’s a life saver! We use it for all our utensils and it keeps everything so organized.
