Monday Moments with Crock Pot Soups
Even though I live in Florida, it still can get cold here. I woke up this morning to freezing temps and we had a hard damaging frost, so now my pretty green grass will be brown. I know all of you with snow on the ground is thinking, “Whats new?” hehehe I do miss the snow. But not that much! What I still love in this “balmy” weather we have is soups. And if I can make them in my crock pot, even better. Here are a few to make to warm the tummy.
A staple soup while I was growing up was a Vegetable Soup. After my dad had his heart attack, my mom make a lot of this type of soup since my dad stayed away from meats. What every was in the fridge, canned veggies in the pantry or from the garden was thrown in the pot.
Chicken Parmesan Soup sounds so yummy. Noodles, cheese and chicken. Life is good while eating that combination.
And how about turning a pasta favorite into a coup. Crock Pot Lasagna Soup is the perfect choice for a cold winters dinner or before a Friday night football game. The recipe is made for a vegetarian but she adds a version for meat lovers like me.
When I saw this recipe, I looked in my pantry to see if I had the ingredients for Creamy Black Bean Chick Soup and its slow cooking for tonight’s dinner.
I have a couple of my favorite crock pot soups to share with you also.
