Thrifting in Central Florida: My Favorite Local Spots

If you love a good treasure hunt in Florida, you are in the right place! Here’s my personal guide to the best thrift stores and flea markets near me.
Y’all, can I just say this? One of my absolute favorite things about living right here in the Central Florida area is how incredible the thrifting is.
I am not exaggerating when I say that some of my most beloved home decor pieces, most-used kitchen items, and best vintage finds have come from right here in my own backyard. We are so lucky to have such a rich thrifting and flea market scene in Central Florida, and if you haven’t fully explored it yet, I will help you fix that!
Whether you’re hunting for vintage treasures, fresh-from-the-farm produce, home decor, or just love the thrill of the hunt, this area has something wonderful waiting for you. I’ve put together my personal guide to the best spots near us, the ones I actually go to, the ones worth the drive, and a few tips I’ve picked up along the way.

Flea Markets
The Market of Marion
If you only visit one flea market in this area, make it this one. The Market of Marion, or, as locals call it, Marion Market, is right here in Belleview and is absolutely legendary. And there is a reason why.
With over 1,100 booths and more than 400 dealers, this place truly has everything. Antiques, vintage collectibles, fresh produce, clothing, home goods, plants (my favorite area), and handmade items. You name it, somebody’s selling it at the Market of Marion. Shopping here really does feel like stepping back in time to the old town square, where you get to know the person selling you something before you buy it. That community feel is something you just don’t get at a regular store.
I fell in love with Marion Market when I first moved here because of the fresh produce in the fall and winter months. So fresh! I love going early on a Saturday morning when the vendors are fresh, and the inventory is at its fullest. Grab a snack from one of the food vendors, take your time, and just wander. You never know what you’re going to find, and that’s half the fun.
MY TIP: Go early and bring cash. Many vendors prefer it, and it also helps you stick to a budget. Trust me on that tip. This is an open market, so it’s HOT, HOT, and HOT during the summer. Be prepared.

Webster Flea Market
If you have never been to the Webster Flea Market on a Monday, you are genuinely missing out. It is the perfect definition of a flea market. It has been running since 1937, and it draws upward of 50,000 visitors on a single Monday. Yes, you read that right, especially during the winter months. Be prepared.
It’s actually two markets in one: a massive general flea market with around 2,000 spaces, plus Webster WestSide right across the street, which focuses specifically on antiques and collectibles, where I usually go for vintage furniture, old advertising items, pottery, militaria, 1940s kitchenware, and so much more. If you’re a serious vintage lover, WestSide alone is worth the drive.
MY TIP: Make a whole day of it. Bring comfortable shoes, wear sunscreen and a hat since it’s mainly outdoors, and arrive early to catch the best finds before the crowds.

Thrift Stores & Antique Malls
Ole Cracker House Antique Mall
Oh, this place makes my heart happy. Ole Cracker House is 10,000 square feet of antique and vintage treasures packed into nooks and crannies that you could spend hours wandering through. The staff genuinely love antiques and vintage as much as I do, so they play wonderful blast-from-the-past music while you browse, and they even make fresh popcorn daily in an old-fashioned popper. The whole experience feels charming and special in a way that a regular thrift store never does.
I have found so much in this antique mall.
This is my go-to when I want a more curated, boutique-style antique experience. The quality of finds here is consistently good.

Diggers Antique Mall
Across the street from the Ole Cracker House Antique Mall is the Diggers Antique Mall. The name says it all. You really do have to dig, and the digging is SO worth it. Diggers is a wonderful treasure hunt of an antique mall, with an eclectic inventory that ranges from vintage furniture and antique china to repurposed pieces and things that are just plain interesting. Dealers here are constantly bringing in new items, so the inventory turns over regularly and there’s always something different to see.
Reviewers consistently rave about the prices and the quality of finds, and the owners have a wonderful reputation for being friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a real antique lover’s kind of place. The warehouse in the back isn’t air-conditioned, so in the summertime, it’s hot out there. Be prepared.

Olde Rusty Barn Antiques
Y’all, did you know we have a gem of an antique mall right here in Belleview? Olde Rusty Barn is a 5,700+ square foot antique mall packed with booths full of antiques, vintage finds, and collectibles from multiple vendors. It’s air-conditioned, wonderfully browsable, and the kind of place where you genuinely never know what you’re going to find, which is exactly how a good antique mall should be.
New pieces show up all the time, so every visit really does feel different, and that’s what keeps me coming back. Whether you’re hunting for something specific or just love the thrill of the hunt, Olde Rusty Barn is worth a stop. Makes for a great Saturday outing.

Ocala Antique Mall and Estates
I love this place! Very well organized and something for everyone. Ocala Antique Mall is over 15,500 square feet of shopping space and more than 200 vendor booths. This mall is absolutely massive. The interior features unique storefront facades designed to transport you back to the 1800s, so browsing here feels like wandering through a charming historic village rather than a typical antique warehouse. There is one booth with all those old Christmas decorations, with a lot of 1950’s plastic blow molds. I love them!
The inventory is wonderfully varied with quality primitives, Victorian and Early American furniture, shabby chic pieces, elegant glassware, porcelain, pottery, sterling silver, jewelry, coins, vintage records, rare cameras, books, military memorabilia, tin advertising, and so much more. The booths are thoughtfully arranged and well-maintained, and many vendors refresh their inventory multiple times a week, so every visit really can feel like a brand new experience. It’s run by the nicest people with decades of antique expertise, and it shows in every corner of the place.

Hospice Thrift Stores — Multiple Ocala Locations
The Hospice of Marion County runs several thrift stores around Ocala, and they are some of the best-stocked, cleanest, and most fairly priced thrift stores in the area. Your purchases here also go directly to supporting hospice care in our community — so you’re finding great deals AND doing good at the same time. That’s a win-win I can always feel good about.

Salvation Army Thrift Store
A classic for good reason. The Salvation Army in Ocala is well-stocked and regularly receives good-quality donations from the community. This is where I go when I need to cover a lot of ground quickly, and the selection is large, and the prices are great. Locals rave about the friendly staff, too.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore
This one is a little different from your traditional thrift store, but it is absolutely worth knowing about. Especially if you love home decor, furniture, and DIY projects the way I do. The ReStore sells donated home improvement items: furniture, appliances, building materials, cabinets, lighting, artwork, and more. The inventory changes constantly, and the prices are fantastic. Again, every purchase helps fund Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building homes for families in need.
I’ve found some incredible pieces here over the years. It’s worth checking in regularly because the good stuff goes fast. I have donated to HHR a few times, and a great place to get rid of old household items.

Grumbles House Antiques & Garden Shop
If you haven’t taken a drive to downtown Dunnellon lately, this is a great excuse to do it. Grumbles House is a quaint, historic property, built in 1908 and filled with antiques and vintage finds. The garden shop element is my fav and makes it uniquely charming. It’s the kind of place where you want to take your time and just enjoy the whole experience.
There are several buildings across the street that are full of thrifting items for sale.
Grumbles also serves lunch. Great day trip. Dunnellon itself is adorable, too, so make a little afternoon of it!

Through The Years Vintage Market
I saved the best for last! Through The Years Vintage Market is one of those special finds tucked inside a historic two-story building, where every room has its own unique theme and feel. It’s like each room has a theme. When the holidays come around, watch out! The whole house is for the season in some way. I have found some of the best vintage fall and Christmas items there.
The specialty leans heavily toward Pyrex, mid-century modern kitchen and barware, nautical, beach, shabby chic, and vintage garden, so if any of those categories make your heart happy, you are going to have a really good time here. Shoppers consistently rave about the friendly, knowledgeable staff and the thoughtful way everything is displayed. Be prepared to stay awhile, and with Mr. Dora close by, you could make a whole day out of it.

My Best Thrifting Tips for Our Area
After years of thrifting around in Central Florida, here’s what I’ve learned:
Go early and during the week. The best stuff goes fast, especially at the flea markets. I aim to arrive right when things open. Remember that the population of Florida bursts wide open during snowbird season, so the weekday trips are the best.
Bring cash. Many vendors and smaller thrift stores prefer it, and it genuinely helps you stick to a budget. I usually pull out a set amount before I go so I’m not tempted to overspend.
Bring a measuring tape. If you’re hunting for furniture or home decor, knowing your measurements before you go saves so much heartache. That beautiful vintage cabinet might be perfect — until it doesn’t fit through your door!
Go with a loose list but an open mind. I usually have a general idea of what I’m looking for, but some of my best finds were things I never went in expecting. Stay flexible.
Check back often. Inventory turns over constantly at all of these spots. A store that felt picked over one week might have a whole new selection the next. Regular visits are rewarded!
