Magicstick by Powerocks
I received the neatest gadget today in the mail to try out. I love gadgets and I have heard about small portable power devices and wondered if they really did power up a small device. So when I was contacted by powerocks.com to review their product called Magicstick, I was very interested in seeing how this device would work.
I noticed right off that on the box it says I would get 2 full charges for my small USB devices (notice listing of devices on the box)
I love that it came with a small pouch to store the Magicstick and the charge cord so I could find it easily in my purse, luggage or in a drawer.
I connected the Magicstick with the charge cord and after a couple of hours it was fully charged. I then connected my ipod to see how long a charge would take. You can see that the stick is about the same size as my ipod.
After about 2 hours my ipod was fully charged. I was really pleased with this because that’s about the same amount of time it takes plugged to my USB port on my computer. After that, I charge my shuffle which didn’t take as long to charge. To check how much power is left in the Magicstick, just push on the opposite charge end and either a red, green or blue color will show. Blue means the most power, green is about half and red means its time to charge the Magicstick. After powering up both items, the stick was showing red.
I am really pleased with this device and highly recommend it. It will work great when we need that extra power for our cell phone when the electricity goes out during hurricanes or storms. I would think this would be great to have if you go camping or hiking to charge your phone or mp3 player. Small enough to store easily.
