I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month to all of you!
Welcome to My Life Abundant, a collection of ideas, tips, inspiration, and just thoughts. I love to share everything happening in my abundant life and the inspiration I have found from others around the World Wide Web.
Happy New Year!! Hoping 2025 is the best year ever!
I’m sure by now y’all have heard about all the snow in the deep south, especially in northern Florida. It was truly a site to see. I saw so many videos of little ones seeing snow for the first time. I cried! Even dogs that had never seen snow before were having a ball in it. There was a lot of serious “rednecking” snow fun going on in the deep south for a couple of days. If you don’t know what that means. Ask someone from the south. 😎
One of the things I like to start off the year with is a new small daily notebook and a planner to get me through the year. I jot ideas down in my notebook for the year, and the planner helps me remember what’s coming up. I mainly use the one above for blogging and other business activities.
If you need a printable planner to get organized for 2025, you can grab my free planner now.
Another way I love to plan is by using Notion. I use it for traveling plans, ideas for my weekly newsletter, to-do lists, my journal, and so on. It’s free and I love having all that information at all times.
During the winter, I normally sit out on the lanai and do puzzles since the weather is so nice then, which actually just started this week. But, I decided my next fun project will be a Paint by Numbers landscape! Did you know it’s making a comeback? Old paint-by-number pictures you find in thrift stores are a “hot” item now and collectible.
I used to do this as a kid but look at what you can by now to paint for yourself. I love this scene and can’t wait to see how it looks when I get done. There are so many options out there to choose from.
Have you ever done a Paint by Number before?
ZESTY OYSTER CRACKERS – Preheat your oven to 250°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, a 1-ounce packet of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix, 1/2 teaspoon of dill weed, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. Stir the mixture until well blended. Add 5 cups of oyster crackers to the bowl and gently toss them to ensure each cracker is evenly coated with the flavorful seasoning. Spread the crackers out in a single layer on a large, rimmed baking sheet. Bake the crackers for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through to promote even baking. Once done, remove the crackers from the oven and let them cool completely. Enjoy. These crackers are addictive!

🛋️FUN AND INTERESTING FACT: What is the most common color in the universe? Beige, a shade close to white, is the most common color in the cosmos. It’s called Cosmic Latte. No wonder it’s so popular among decorators!

What I’m watching, reading & listening to
🎥 The 4th season of Sweet Magnolias will air on February 6th on Netflix. If you love a good old-fashioned chic series, this is it!! I love this series.
🎥 Has anyone finished Virgin River? What did you think? Maybe another season to answer so many questions?
🎥 Recently watched a documentary called The Speedway Murders about 4 teenagers who were kidnapped from the Burger Chef they worked at in 1978 and murdered. Very interesting story, but the way they portrayed it was the best part.
🎥 I started watching Gilmore Girls. I know. I’m really way behind on watching that series. I’m loving it so far.
Let me know your favorite show, music, or movie you have watched or listened to lately. I’m always looking for new viewing pleasures.

That’s so awesome. 👏🏻 I love Gilmore Girls, the original series. The revival was…trash. But there are many movies and tv shows worth watching on Netflix, even if it’s just to hate-watch. Glad you’re doing well! Keep going.
I never in my life would have expected the amount of snow we got where I live, let alone how much the coast got!
