I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month.
I’m always a little envious this time of the year because it’s so hot here that my gardening is over until about October. But I do love to see what everyone else is doing in their gardens.
This cute potting bench is just such an example. It’s perfect to hold all your supplies and a place to repot all your beautiful seedlings and flowers. I found this at @THEORY_OF_SIMPLE on Instagram. She actually built this herself with the leftover materials she had.
the hardest part
Mr. G and I have been working tirelessly at my mom’s home the past several weeks to get it cleared out and ready to put on the market. I’ve made so many phone calls to close out some accounts and stop items from coming to her home. We are both so “brain” tired.
I am very grateful my mom had the foresight to have everything in order so that all I had to do was follow her instructions to finalize her estate.
My brother flew in, we packed up mom’s van with items for family back home and he drove it back to Missouri. I’m so grateful the 20-year-old van made it there. With very low mileage, it will make a family a great starter car.
But all of the work doesn’t compare to the day we finished with her home and I closed that front door for the last time. All the wonderful memories I have from my parents living there. They are now safely in my heart forever.

I love that garden center. I have been trying to get mine somewhat like this, but have a little more I want to do to make a perfect garden prepping place!

That potting bench is a dream! I have kept myself busy with gardening when this pandemic started and I now have so many pretty plants. A work station like that where I can tend to my bonsai plants would be great!
That’s a really nice potting arrangement, I recently put my house on the Market and having it look nice is important.
Clearing out a family member’s home can be hard work. They can collect so much over a lifetime.
