what I’m watching

🎥 What did everyone think of Stranger Things? And now that Season 5 has been announced, I can’t wait! Here is a little sneak peek.

🎥 Downton Abbey: New Era is streaming on Paramount and Amazon, which was fabulous. The costumes and scenery are just indescribable and this movie didn’t disappoint. You can also purchase the DVD. I will probably rewatch Downton Abbey for the umpteenth time later on this summer. I love reruns.

🎥 Mr. G and I are huge mystery/murder documentary fans and we recently watched Murdaugh Murders: Deadly Dynasty on the ID Channel. It’s a story that just keeps unfolding and this version goes into more detail about the case. It’s a great story to follow and try to figure out what really did happen and who did what. Watched any good documentaries lately?

 🎥 Season 4 of Virgin River started on July 20th on Netflix. Are you watching it yet?

Decor Inspiration

This antique linen armoire is just classic. I really love the wood look in my home. But, with that being said, I have an old china cabinet that belonged to my great-grandmother. You can’t see any of my collectibles inside the cabinet because it’s so dark. I don’t want to paint the outside, but I’m thinking maybe the inside and selves would look nice painted with a light paint color. Maybe like this?

I was in Target the other day and I just love the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line. It speaks to me. I wanted to highlight a few of my favs and staying under $40 is another reason why I love this line because it’s affordable. I’m loving how versatile faux plants are now, I love to collect trays and this woven one is no exception. How about a $3.00 spoon rest for your stove? This wooden long-footed serving tray would be a perfect charcuterie board. And this beautiful wood and glass cake stand.

favorite finds

After I started reading about sunscreen and all the chemicals in them, I decided to look over mine. I was just SHOCKED! The sunscreen I’ve been using for so many years now wasn’t good and was full of chemicals. In the trash, it went. I want to live the cleanest life I can and since I used sunscreen basically every day, living here in the Sunshine State, I needed to find a new solution.

I WAS using a moisturizer with SPF every day. It was hard trying to find a light moisturizer with mineral-based SPF. But, I finally did! It’s called Burt’s Bees Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30. The SPF is zinc oxide, made with natural ingredients, and bunny free. I also have their regular moisturizer for days when I know I won’t be going outside or at bedtime. I also love the EltaMD UV Physical SPF 41 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen for my makeup now. Very lite, mineral-based, and adds just a bit of color.
