Just Some Ramblings

I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month.

Since I live in Zone 9a, my garden grows during fall, winter and early spring. It can get pretty cool during the winter, but rarely under 25 degrees and the only the tomatoes would be harmed. When it does get below 32 degrees, I will wrap my PVC Tomato Cage with old sheets and that protects them during the night.

Right now the garden is bursting with tomatoes, lettuce, kale and green peppers. I just planted a variety of spacemaster cucumber seeds and can’t wait to see if these will grow for me. I don’t have good luck at all with cucumbers. This new variety is made for smaller areas or pots for those of you with small spaces. I will let you know how that works out.

Better Boy tomatoes are a great size for slicing. I start my garden by directly planting seeds back in September. Warm enough for the seeds to germinate and start growing. I don’t have a problem with bugs or fungus by planting that time of the year.

lavender vanilla candle Goosecreek Candle

I was recently contacted by Goose Creek Candles to review one of their products. I adore candles and have them burning often. My favorite scent is lavender and I was so pleased to see that was the scent I received. It reminds me so much of my great-grandmother. Love the double wick which really helps to have a more even burn and not make a huge hole in the middle where all the melted wax likes to go. Love the true lavender scent with a hint of vanilla and comes in a 24 oz large jar. Lead-free wicks, 100% cotton wicks are used in these candles and made in the USA. If you love floral scents, this is the perfect candle for you.

With more than 200 scents to chose from, please stop by Goose Creek Candles and read more about this family-owned company.
