Butter Garlic Baked Chicken

Looking for an easy-to-make chicken dinner? Butter Garlic Baked Chicken has simple ingredients of butter, garlic, and rosemary. Oh so good

Let’s face it.  Chicken can be very boring. My family eats a lot of chicken and I’m always trying to figure out a new way to fix it. Mix it up a bit, but not make it so complicated that I’m spending too much time in the kitchen. One easy way for me was to add two simple ingredients of butter and garlic to the chicken and bake. Simple, easy, and really good.  Perfect to serve guests and quick enough for any family meal.

We buy a lot of chicken breasts at Sam’s to save money and I want to make sure that they will store well in the freezer for a long time. Even though that’s a lot of chicken for just the two of us, chicken breasts last much longer in the freezer using the Handheld FoodSaver.

I love this small and very inexpensive kitchen appliance. The quart bags will hold 2 chicken breasts nicely and they go on sale often at the FoodSaver website. Create an Account to receive their sale notices and Free Shipping is offered too.

I’ve never had meat go bad or freezer burn using this system. I use it for bulk purchases of ground beef, steaks, and pork chops. I also love the idea it will fit in a drawer and I don’t have another appliance using up counter space.

There is really nothing hard about this recipe. It’s one of those recipes that will make you smile when you bring it out of the oven. The whole family will love you for it!

Yes, I know you use a stick of butter for this recipe, but for a serving, you are eating a very small amount. But the flavor it adds to this meal! And the fresh rosemary just puts it over the top. This recipe is perfect for low-carb lifestyles.

  1. This looks so delicious! Definitely making it!! Yes it does seem like a lot of butter but divide that by 4 for each piece of chicken and half of the butter will not make it onto the chicken so it sounds like 1 tbs. of butter on each piece of chicken to me. Not bad at all!

  2. OMGoodnes this dish looks so delicious! My family love chicken and I’m always on the lookout for new chicken recipe to share with the kids. Never thought to add garlic butter to my chicken, look like this will be my next recipe to try out this week! Thanks for sharing,5 stars

  3. We eat a lot of chicken in our household too. Sometimes, it can get a bit much, and I don’t even want to look at it for a while. My parents have a FoodSaver (that they do not use), and if it can avoid freezer burned meats, then I might just have to “borrow” it.

  4. I need the handheld foodsaver. I want to start prepping some meat for freezer-to-oven meals. This would come in handy big time.

  5. Oh wow! This dish looks so amazing!! I just made ziti last night and now I think I want to make this! Now, I need to get some food savers. Haha. We buy so much meat, it would make my life easier if I actually took the time to separate it and seal it!5 stars

  6. Ooh, I just saw the Food Saver appliance you mentioned. I need one of those! I buy freezer bags, but I always end up leaving meat in the freezer for a long time and I don’t thin the freezer bags work as well as they could.

  7. This does look like an amazing recipe. Honestly, my mouth is watering just looking at it. Between the butter, the garlic, and the mozzarella cheese I am sure that this would be amazing. That’s great that those freezing storage bags work so well.

  8. This butter garlic chicken looks so delicious! I have some chicken in the fridge that I was looking to dress up, and this might be the perfect option – thanks!

  9. This sounds amazing! We eat a lot of chicken and we’re always looking for new recipes to try. Have you ever tried spreading may on the chicken and rolling it in parm. cheese? My boys gobbled that right up! Pinned.
