2014 Super Bowl Eats

2014 Super Bowl Eats

WOOHOO!  Its Super Bowl week and even though my beloved Dolphins won’t be playing (again), I still enjoy watching the game, loving the commercials and just having special time with hubby.  We both love football so much, our teams playing each other (GO MIZZOU) and when the Super Bowl is over, we start planning to watch the Draft in April.

I always make something good for us to eat on Super Bowl and this year I found 3 really good recipes from Pinterest.  Hubby and I watch what we eat during the year, but when it comes to Super Bowl food, we just can’t help ourselves.  I might tweak the recipes a bit so they aren’t so full of fat.  Maybe.

Bacon Wrapped Tater Tot Bombs

What else can I say about these?  Bacon and tater tots.  I just know these are going to be so crispy when they come out of the oven and I can already smell the bacon cooking.  Yummy!

The next appetizer.  Wait.  Is there a rule about having more than one appetizer?  I don’t think so!

Buffalo Chicken Nachos

The main reason I am making these is that I have shredded chicken already in the freezer and most of the other ingredients in my stockpile. I don’t want to blow my weekly budget on one day’s meal, so I really look for recipes I can use with many items already on hand.  These look so yummy and what football party wouldn’t be complete without some form of nacho.

And for the entree.  Such a fancy word coming from a country girl.

Hamburger Sliders

Hamburger Sliders{Plain Chicken}

If you love some really great recipes, go to Plain Chicken.  I find more tasty recipes there, especially for football season.  They love to watch SEC football just like we do so that automatically makes us branch kin somewhere down the line.  These sliders are so easy to make and so tasty.  Sliders are such a great recipe for parties.  Small and you don’t fill up on just one item.

I would love to hear what you like to make for Super Bowl Sunday.

Enjoy,

Tammy

  1. Oh wow, my mouth is watering just looking at the photos. I have never really watched the Super Bowl although I have been to Super Bowl parties (strange, huh?). Do you know any quick links to understanding the game so I can watch and understand what is going on?

  2. Oh my, just let me graze for a while with all this awesome food! Thanks so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and have a great weekend!

  3. Wow, bacon wrapped bombs, buffalo chicken nachos, and hamburger sliders… I think I just became a huge fan of American football. GO MIZZOU! You see I am already ready to watch the Draft in April at your place :). Glad to find your blog through SITS comment marathon.
