14 Days of Love: Exercise Together

Working out together will keep you motivated and have fun at the same time.

14 days of love during Valentines season is useful for every marriage and relationship. Here are 14 things to enjoy together.
Exercise Together!

I love to workout and have been for so many years now. Not only to help keep my weight down,  but because I just love how it makes me feel when it’s over. I don’t think I have ever regretted one workout. Yeah, I might be saying something during the workout, but when it’s over I just feel so good!

But exercising as a couple may be a different story. Especially when it comes to Mr. G and me.  He doesn’t work out like I do.  He claims his workout in the yard is his workout for the day. Stubborn man! Granted, that may be true for his manly muscles, but he needs to work his most important muscle……..his HEART!

UPDATE: Mr. G. has started a walking program and walks several times a week.

Mr. G and I are both getting up there in age and the body really hates to work out the older you get. My knee hurts, seems that after a workout my body doesn’t bounce back of course, middle age and a slowing metabolism can put on the pounds. And we both have suffered from that. Mr. G recently learned his blood pressure was creeping up and he decided he had to start doing some form of workout. I was so excited to hear this. We also have learned how to save money and stay healthy too.

So now, once a week, Mr. G and I will take a long walk.  The weather is great and we both enjoy this.  Having time to talk, laugh, enjoy nature, enjoy the benefits and just be together.  I love it!

Here are a few suggestions for exercising together:

  • Working at the Gym
  • Ice Skating
  • Biking
  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • Jogging
  • Dancing
  • Tennis
  • Boxing
  • Yoga
  • Bowling

I’m hoping to get Mr. G to my weekly water walking in the pool.  The best way to exercise outside and staying cool the whole time.  Not hard on the joints either.
