Whether you have a large front porch or a small one, like mine, pots with plants or flowers make such a great choice to decorate with. All it takes is 2 or 3 pots, large or small, and you have something special that everyone will see when they come to your home.

Decorating the front porch doesn’t have to be so extravagant. Just a few pots full of beautiful plants and/or flowers is the ticket. You know that saying, “less is more”, and I truly believe that. If you are like me, I don’t have tons of money to spend on my front porch. Using the same pots over, refreshing them by painting them, or finding a great thrift deal is my way of saving money for flowers! 😊

Here is a quick list of some ideas that I hope inspire you as much as they have me.

I love this idea of using 3 items to sit in a corner of a front porch. A tall skinny pot, a lantern, and a shorter pot. The “3” rule works so many times, but rules are always there to break when it comes to decor. Ferns and geraniums are such a great choices for summer pots.

Using 2 tall pots on each side of the front door is another perfect way to decorate the front porch. I love the different types of plants displayed. Tall in the back, spillage in the front, and flowers in the middle. Using the 3 plant rule for the plants also. Lovely pot design. I do love the idea of self-watering pots. Especially here in Florida.

You can find new galvanized buckets everywhere but did you know you can make a new one look old? Check out this post on how to do that process.

Another idea from House of Hawthornes. What I love about this display is the eclectic look of using what you have. Peach baskets and yellow pots work perfectly together. Stop by this post and read her story. It’s a lot like my story too growing up.
