I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month to all of you!
Welcome to My Life Abundant, a collection of ideas, tips, inspiration, and just thoughts. I love to share everything happening in my abundant life and the inspiration I have found from others around the World Wide Web.

It’s been about 6 weeks now since I said, “I’ll see you later” to Mr. G as I held his hand for the last time on this earth.
Putting it simply, it’s been hard. I have lived all my life with someone. My parents, my son, and my husband. It’s quiet. It’s too quiet. During the day, I’m fine, but when dinner time rolls around, it really hits me. Dinner time and watching some TV after that was our time together to laugh and talk. I really miss his voice. I hope the sound of his voice never leaves my brain.
The other hard part is that I am a “One Man Show” now around the house. I didn’t realize how much Mr. G did until he wasn’t here to do those things. Taking out the trash, a lot of the heavy yard work, things around the house that needed to be fixed, helping me carry things, etc. He drove most of the time, and I was the navigator. Now I have to do both! Since I can’t follow GPS on my phone and drive, I did have a new radio put on my older car so that I can see GPS on the dash. That has been a lifesaver!
I’ve learned that I have to figure it out to survive now. One of the things Mr. G told me before he passed was that I have very strong friends and I am a strong woman, and together we will figure it out. Many of my friends are widows, too. They’ve been through it, and they all understand what I am going through now.
Life will go on. I will go on. I will miss him dearly. But because of our faith, we will be together again someday. It’s never goodbye. It’s I will see you again soon!
LEMON RICOTTA COOKIES – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, cream 1/2 cup sugar with 1/4 cup unsalted butter until light and fluffy. Beat in 1/2 cup whole milk ricotta cheese and the zest of 1 lemon. Add 1 large egg and mix until smooth. Combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Drop tablespoonfuls of batter onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the edges are golden. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
