Just Some Ramblings & More!

I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month to all of you!

Even though the weather is extremely nice this time of the year, it gives me time to take pictures of all the different birds in our area who are preparing to migrate north. I spotted the female and male Boat-tailed Grackle (top) at our local lake, the common Egrets are visitors all year long, and the Egyptian Goose with his beautiful plumage. Not many people like these geese because they are especially messy. But, you have to admit, they are such beautiful creatures. Do you love to birdwatch?

Do you have squirrels destroying your property? Here are a few things I have learned to keep pesky squirrels at bay.

If you love to feed birds and squirrels are giving you a headache, try the bird feeder pole I use. I have not had an issue with squirrels since I got this one. Let’s just say, Mr. Squirrel and I aren’t friends anymore. 😎

Strawberry season is here!
Picking Strawberries

It’s strawberry season in Central Florida right now and it doesn’t take long to fill up a bucket with these huge berries. I have been going to a u-pick farm for a couple of years now and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The rows are so clean, the weather was sunny and the most perfect temperature. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

The Strawberry Festival in Plant City is a huge event to go to this time of the year and if you are planning a trip to Central Florida soon, be sure to stop there.

Blueberry and blackberry season is right around the corner and I can’t wait to stock the freezer. If you are low-carb, berries are perfect to add to your daily meals.

what I’m watching & listening to

🎥 I watched Girl in the Basement and that movie gave me so much anxiety. So bizarre that you wonder how this story can be true.

🎥The Volcano: Rescue From Whakaari documentary on Netflix was INTENSE and made me think about not ever doing something like that.

🎥 Mr. G and I have been closely watching the Murdaugh trail going on in the news past couple of weeks. I have watched several trials but this one has really been fun to follow. So much information and technology that really solves this case for sure. You can go to YouTube to News 19’s channel to watch the trial live or go back and watch it on your own time. Another good podcast to listen to and you can find this on YouTube also, is the Murdaugh Murders. There is so much more to hear about the corruption surrounding Alex Murdaugh.

🎧 I finished the Bone Valley podcast which is a great story about how the accused had to prove his innocence. I hope that story comes out with a documentary and to be able to see the story. Sometimes just hearing the story doesn’t help me catch the whole story. Are you the same way? Are you keeping up with the Moscow Murders? I can’t wait for more of this story to the surface which probably won’t come out until this summer the next time they go in front of the judge.
