I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month.
It’s strawberry season in Central Florida right now and it doesn’t take long to fill up a bucket with these huge berries. I have been going to a u-pick farm for a couple of years now and I haven’t been dissapointed yet. The rows are so clean, the weather was sunny and the most perfect temperature. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
The Strawberry Festival in Plant City is a huge event to go to this time of the year and if you are planning a trip to Central Florida soon, be sure to stop there.
Blueberry season is in a few weeks and I can’t wait. I’m on my last bag in the freezer.
Strawberry recipes:
I spent my first night in a bed and breakfast this past week when Mr. G and I went to Mayo, FL to look up some family members and decided to give the Le Chateau De Lafayette Bed & Breakfast a try. Mayo is a very small and quaint town, so they don’t have much to offer when it comes to accommodations.
Little did we know that the owners were actually family of Mr. G’s and they were so helpful with information about passed family. They even showed us where their old homestead use to be located.
I had always heard that B & B’s were great if you loved home style accommodations and we were not dissapointed. Really lovely decor and architecture for me to drool over. The building used to be the court house, but when the city decided to build a new courthouse, the old building was moved across the street where its located today.
If you ever make your way to Mayo, FL and need accomodations, please stop by the Le Chateau and enjoy some real southern comfort.
For all of you who love tea, here is the cutest tea infuser I have ever seen. And living in Florida, I must have a flamingo some where in the house. This little cutie will blend in perfectly with my Tea Station.
These Personalized Pet Tags are too cute for words!! Less than $10 with shipping and comes in 45 designs. Would make a great gift for a new pet owner. Keep the pets safe with a personalized tag!
We are wanting to repaint our living area to a more neutral palete and I love how this look is by @blessingsandtwine on Instagram. But what really caught my eye was the console under the tv and the way they tv is framed.

That tea infuser is awesome! You are so lucky it is strawberry season there. We live in Upstate NY and the berry picking season is pretty short, and late in the summer.

We have to wait until June to pick strawberries here! Those tags are really cute and reasonably priced.
I just visited your Strawberry Bread post ~ thanks for the tip about adding the strawberries to the dry mix. I would have done opposite. Pinned. I believe your comments are closed for that post or I’m looking too hard lol. Here via your party. 🙂
You are welcome. That works for blueberries too.
