How to Make Pumpkin Spice

Homemade pumpkin pie spice is so easy to make, inexpensive, and tastes delicious in all your favorite fall baking.

Fall is not only my favorite season but also my favorite time to get in the kitchen and bake for my family and friends. The smell of fall baked goods is so intoxicating and who doesn’t love that smell in their home?

So many fall recipes require Pumpkin Spice and having them on hand is a must. Spices can be very expensive, especially if you don’t need a whole jar and it’s also a lot cheaper to make at home. It only takes 4 ingredients to make your own Pumpkin Spice from spices you probably already have in your pantry.

Any leftovers of this recipe will store for up to 1 year in a sealed jar. I use the 4 oz Mason jars with the Herb Shaker lid to store my homemade spices.

The lid on these shaker tops is perfect for spices.

When I make a larger batch of spices, I love using the 4 oz squatty looking jars for this job. They don’t take up much room and make a great gift presentation. I also love the chalkboard lids and chalk pen for labeling my spices. The lids easily wash off easily to use over and over. I have also saved spice jars from the store and reused them.
