Holiday Fun at the Beach

I love Central Florida this time of the year.  The weather is perfect for enjoying this part of the country.  So, why not come and visit Daytona Beach.  Where all the outdoor fun happens.

One of our favorite places to visit is the Ponce De Leon Lighthouse just south of Daytona Beach.  The view is just breath taking and the kids love to climb up all those stairs.

Speaking of kids. Daytona Beach has so many kid-friendly options to explore and do.  I know they love the beach, but there is a great boardwalk where so much fun is to be had. Rides, food and just plain fun.  Petting stingrays at the Marine Science Center is one of my favorite places to go with my camera.

And lets not forget mom and dad.  Daytona beach is great for couples too.  I love going to the older home tours and walking through the Farmers Market.  And there are so many different free things to do in Daytona Beach.  Tours, concerts, Parks, Museums, Splash Park and Gardens.

And since Christmas is almost here, how about shopping at the Halifax Art Festival. Be sure to bring your walking shoes.  There is also a Holiday Bazaar on November 14th where you can look for crafts, bake sale, elephant sale, plants, and food.  I love all the craft shows during Fall at the Daytona Beach area.

When you are finished with the crafts, how about visiting the Bird Fest at the Marine Center also on November 14th.  I love seeing all those beautiful flying creatures and my camera never stops clicking.

There are so many hotels, condos, vacation rentals, and camping areas to choose from for your stay.

And we can never forget where it all started.  Beautiful 23 miles where the beach awaits and where cars are permitted to drive in designated areas.   Daytona Beach, the festival capital of Florida.  The Original Beach.
