Monday Moments with Thanksgiving Side Dish Ideas

One of the first things I heard, when the calendar said November, was, “What are you cooking for Thanksgiving this year?” Mr. G is wanting something a bit different this year, so I went searching for something new to make. Here are a few recipes I may try this Thanksgiving.

One item that is a must on our table is some form of potatoes. When I saw this recipe for Loaded Mashed Potatoes by Chef in Training, I knew I must try them. Potatoes, bacon, and cheese. Nothing can go bad there.

One veggie I have been cooking more is carrots, but it seems like I could never get a good recipe to roast them. Diethood has a simple but very tasty version of Garlic Roasted Carrots. I  know this will be on my table too.

I’ve had Sweet Potato Casserole before and I was wanting my own recipe to make. Chef in Training has a recipe that looks so good! I’m not a fan of the recipes with marshmallows on top. This one is topped with pecans and brown sugar. Yummy!

I guess I should have something green on the table, so how about Cheesy Broccoli Casserole by Yellow Bliss Road. I love the idea of Ritz crackers for a crunchy topping.

Enjoy,

Tammy
