I’ve been told I love to ramble on, so why not pass along some of my ramblings from this past month to all of you!
Summer is officially here and boy is it hot here in Central Florida!! Hurricane season has also begun, but NORMALLY, there isn’t much action in the Atlantic until around August. Let’s hope it’s a non-event hurricane season this year!
I just adore this look on a porch for the upcoming July 4th holiday. A touch of red and white with old Glory swaying in the wind. The touches of vintage finds bring it all together. I found this cute front porch on @thefinleyfarmhouse IG page. Love all the farm pictures and the goats are just so cute!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful July 4th holiday! God Bless America!!

What I’m watching & listening to
🎥 I watched A Man Called Otto recently on Netflix and what a great movie that was. Older and set in his ways Otto meets the younger generation who needs him and Otto needs them. Just a wonderful, wonderful movie and it really hit home. When you get to be my age, you truly understand what that means.
🎥 For all you Sweet Magnolias fans, season 3 is set to start on July 20 on Netflix. Love this show and the end of season 2 left us with tons of questions. A great series about 3 friends who navigate life, love, and business in their charming small town with a little help from a long-standing margarita night.
🎥 I’ve been binge-watching Virgin River and I just love that show. Can’t wait for the next season to start in September.
🎶 If you love the 70s and 80s playlist, check out Spotify. I’ve listened to channels from Pandora, Amazon, and Sirius. But, Spotify seems to have the best selection.
I would love to hear your suggestions for crime podcasts to add to my list.

Love that flag! Such a pretty porch! Loving the music list too <3 Happy Birthday wishes your way!
That porch is the most attractive one I’ve seen! I’m going to copy the look for my own!
I need to watch A Man Called Otto. I read the book based off of that and liked it a bunch, so I am sure I’ll enjoy the movie.
I love how you decorated your porch. I wish that I had a porch on my house.
What a nice porch I really love how you decorate it! Thanks for sharing this with us
I loved your July 4th porch decoration idea with vintage finds! I also enjoyed A Man Called Otto on Netflix – such a touching story of generations coming together. I can’t wait for Sweet Magnolias season 3! Happy summer, and stay cool in Central Florida!
I watched A Man Called Otto not long ago, and I loved it. What a wonderful movie that was. Very sad and touching too.
I enjoyed reading your ramblings from the past month! Your updates on the summer season, porch decor, and entertainment recommendations were delightful. Happy early birthday, and thank you for your generosity with the gift card giveaway. Keep up the great work on your blog!
I keep passing by The Man Called Otto and its always seemed interesting but I’d never commit to watching it however I do like the sound of the plot and it feels like it could be a wholesome and heartwarming watch.
First, a very happy birthday to you!! I have my birthday coming up in two days 🙂 so here is wishing both of us have a great birthday weekend as well ..
I have been meaning to watch Virgin River as well as Sweet Magnolias for a while now but worried i might give in to binge-watching them.. so maybe should pick the movie instead..
and love that quote by Francine Jay.. so very true…we don’t need to fill our day with things to do at all but just do some things that are truly important and make a difference
Your porch looks so festive! You are ready for 4th of July! You just need to enjoy it!
Your porch is super cute. I need to decorate for the 4th of July but I’m a bit late to the party. Haha Maybe next year.
