Just Ramblings

I hope everyone had a jolly, holly, wonderful Chrismas and enjoying some time off from work and school. I always loved Christmas vacation so much. Great time to be with family.

I know there are so many out there who don’t get the holidays off because of their jobs and I would like to give them a special shout-out. My husband retired as a fireman of 30+ years and he spent many holidays at work and away from the family fun. These wonderful civil servants deserve our thanks. Kudos to all those who work during the holidays to keep the fires burning.

A special shout out to all our military who are overseas and missing the holidays with their families and friends.

Did everyone receive some great gifts this year? I received an Amazon Dot and a case for it to hang on the wall. I love gadgets!! My husband has been having a blast with it. It took him awhile to remember to call out her name first so that she would answer. But now, he has the hang of it and I actually heard him having a long conversation with her the other day. Mr. G. has a new virtual friend.

Dot Case

What I love about this device is the case that came with it. No cords hanging anywhere and if you use your Dot in the bathroom, this would be perfect for it. The case comes with a short cord to use with your dot and plugin. I am so impressed with the sound quality coming out of this little gadget too. We can hear it all over the house when we play music. I can’t wait to set it up with other items in the home.

I brought this up last month, but I wanted to share again. The new year will be here before you know it and I was searching for a new planner to use with my blogging. I need to plan out so far ahead and paper clip items for each month, I need a hard copy planner. Pretty Simple Planners are perfect for anyone who needs to write out notes or lists for each day. There is also a monthly calendar, inspirational quotes and fun holidays.

How about a $100 cash giveaway to end the year and to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

We are having a $100 Cash Giveaway until January 2, 2018, to start the new year off right. Don’t miss out and Enter HERE!

  1. Oh, I really like this planner. I just received my new Erin Condren for 2018 where I tend to make lists everyday but I like how the one you shared has lines for your lists and even little bubbles to fill in upon completing a task.

Bravo to firefighters, EMS, police officers and our military for the sacrifices they make so that all of us CAN enjoy holidays with our loved ones. I am a former military and EMT wife. There were many holidays where I was alone or alone with the children.

  2. Tammy thank you for sharing. I’m with you and also appreciate all of the civil servants. My father did 30 years in the Air Force so I totally get it. Thank you for sharing with Blogging Grandmothers. I have shared on my social media. I’m glad you hubby is enjoying your dot and has a new virtural friend. 🙂
