Whether you are a die-hard gardener or you love the look of a garden bench, here are a few ideas to try.

Do you love to garden and get your hands dirty as much as I do? For years my garden supplies were stuffed in the garage on the opposite side of the house where I do all my planting. I would have to drag everything to the backyard to garden or repot plants and then drag it back to the garage.

I got older and wiser and decided to get myself a potting bench. And I have never been happier. It looks so lovely on our lanai and is the perfect piece of furniture for that area. I topped that area off with a thrifted window craft idea that looks perfect there. You can see the large pots right behind it on the patio outside, where I plant flowers. The baby orchids are really enjoying their place on the shelves.
For those who don’t know, in Florida, you have rooms where it’s either screened in, or in our case we have very large floor-to-ceiling sliding doors with vinyl windows. It keeps the weather and dirt out. The perfect place for most of the year to sit and enjoy nature.
I’m able to store all my garden items in one place on the lanai, next to the back door, and just steps from where I love to plant and have easy access to water. I also have a few vintage items displayed on the bench.
Even if you aren’t a gardener and love the vintage farmhouse look or somewhere to store items, a potting bench is a perfect piece of furniture to use for other ideas.
Here are some creative potting bench ideas to inspire your next potting bench setup.

This is such a lovely potting bench, but I love how it’s being used outdoors as a drink station during parties. The wheels make it easy to move around the yard.

Using an old shelf stacked on top of an old bench makes the perfect farmhouse rustic-look potting shelf. All the vintage items add to it.

This old bench is perfect for storing a lot of pots and a few plants for display. I love the color green that was used for this bench. And don’t forget how versatile wire baskets are.

Have a lot of wooden pallets lying around? This is a great idea for using them up and making the perfect potting bench.

A simple workbench turned into a simple potting bench. Simple is so much better sometimes.

I love how this potting bench was made to store away all the larger items like trash cans behind closed doors. I love the latches too to keep animals and little fingers out.

This potting bench is just stunning! Not only to display plants but perfect for drinks in a cozy patio setting.

Perfect bench for a greenhouse with a place to store dirt with easy access. I’m looking for an old tin trashcan to store my dirt in near my potting bench.

And last but not least, a potting bench with a sink. I would have a garden hose connected to a faucet to clean garden items easily in the sink. You could easily add a hose at the drain hole to go out in the grass behind the bench.

I love the idea of using rustic pot benches as a decoration element, love it. It adds so much character to the decor, love it.
These are such pretty ideas. I love that they’re as utilitarian as they are beautiful.
These garden benches are so gorgeous! I think the one with the pallets is ingenious! Great reuse of materials! I’m so excited for spring I can’t wait to start gardening!
