Beautiful DIY printable Christmas gift tags that will add a simple, festive touch to all your gifts.

It’s time to get prepared for the holidays and it seems that we wrapping packages for weeks! It can be an overwhelming job this time of the year and for some folks, wrapping gifts is a chore.

But I learned many years ago to make it as simple as possible. One way of doing that was to simply use plain paper for wrapping gifts. My favorite is Kraft paper and it just makes a wrapped gift so nice! Plus, plain paper can be used for gift wrapping all year long. I find rolls of Kraft paper a lot at Home Goods in my area.

I also learned to print out gift tags. There are lots of fun and free Christmas gift tag options out there that you can download and print yourself.  This is often cheaper and really convenient if you don’t have time to run to the store. It also makes your gifts more personal. If you get that job done way before it’s time to start wrapping gifts, that’s one less thing to worry about when the holiday madness starts.

TIPS FOR PRINTING YOUR OWN GIFT TAGS
  • If you are printing at home, using a laser printer will give you the cleanest, quality results.
  • If you don’t have a laser, you can have items printed cheaply at places like Walmart, Office Depot, Staples, Costco, etc.
  • Using good quality cardstock will give you the best look. One package will last a very long time. White paper is your best choice for almost every project, but if you want to add something special to your gift tags, color paper is another option.
  • Use tape, yarn, or my favorite, red twine to tie gift tags to gifts.

I found several examples of cute gift tags to pass along to my readers and hopefully, they will help make your holiday season a little less hectic.
