I’m so excited to share with you my fall decorations for 2023! I love to mix vintage with new items and I hope my ideas will help inspire you too.
I thought I would take you on a quick tour of a few fall items I have in my home. Nothing really fancy and easy enough for anyone to do. Fall decor seems to tell me cozy and warm. So my decor stays pretty simple with traditional fall colors.
So grab something cozy to curl up in and let me show you my home decorated for fall.
Lanai
This is one area of my home I haven’t shown on my blog, well at all, because we’ve lived here 18 years and never did anything to it. Just had a few chairs sitting out there and my plants. No decor.
But that has all changed now and we have decorated it with new patio furniture mixed in with vintage items we have collected over the years.
And that’s true for fall decor too.
There is a couch opposite of the 2 chairs which pretty much fills up one side of the 40-foot-long space. I love this furniture! The little electric heater is perfect for the cooler days we have (it really puts out the heat), the vintage radio Mr. G restored, the McCoy bowl with my favorite new battery-operated flicker candle in it, pillows in every spot that needs one, and my plants just thrive out there now that I have moved them to a better area. I really need to lower that vintage pane window down or get a larger vintage pane window!
Even though I LOVE how the lanai looks now, my favorite part is the other end of the lanai which has my gardening bench. I could spend all day there working on my plants. As you can see, I have a few fall items there also. I love how the Goodwill find frame looks so nicely there with a print I designed and printed out to put in it.

dining room
I have learned that one can never have enough pumpkins for fall decor! I now have a lovely wooden lantern and just rearranged the pumpkins I’ve collected over the years on the runner. There are so many different textures there that I really love.
I also added a new pillow with 3 watercolor pumpkins on it. It looks so nice on my parent’s velvet 70’s chair in the corner of the dining room. The little mini wreaths from last year hang on the hutch.
The cute metal stand with glass plates came from my mom’s house and is super easy to style for basically any time of the year. The bottom is full of small pumpkins you can find anywhere and in less than 5 minutes you have this stand styled with faux pumpkins and garland.

kitchen area
I don’t normally decorate that much in the kitchen. Since I cook a lot, it gets in the way.
But, y’all!! This candle I picked up at Micheals is just so nice! I like the jar with the wooden top that I will probably clean up after the candle is burned down and keep for something else.
I have a little wooden cake stand where I added a larger pumpkin sitting on a small wreath, a vintage wooden spindle, and a few other pumpkins. There is also a tall candle that has a lovely pumpkin smell.
I love this pumpkin-shaped cutting board. I have a total of three of them for different seasons. The wax warmer is one of my favorites and is on all the time, a small pumpkin pot, three stacked pumpkins, and the fall print in a Goodwill frame.
That’s pretty much it for the kitchen. Minimal but enough.

the kitchenette
This area is what started all the fall decorations in my home. I used to just put out these quilted placemats years ago and maybe a little fall faux plant in the center. But, then I branched out.😊
I started out with the beautiful hefty wooden tray and just started adding vintage items I had. The McCoy brown pitcher, the orange and yellow tulip bowls, and the salt and pepper shakers are all vintage finds. The faux orange marigold stems are perfect for the pitcher. The mercury glass jar came from The Country Door but isn’t available anymore. And I finished off this vignette with small faux pumpkins and a pumpkin spice candle I’ve had for a while.
A new item I added was this cute pumpkin print I downloaded and placed in this Goodwill frame. I found the thyme faux topiary and cute wire pot last year and love how it looks so nice in that spot.

Bedroom
Not much changed in my bedroom because I really love this fall quilt (not available) and pumpkin pillow from The Country Door. It’s just enough for this room. And y’all. That large cream throw pillow from Walmart is still a big seller after a few years.

Front Porch
I decided to change out my olive bucket door hangers to these wicker hangers to display faux fall branches with boxwood branches. I now keep the boxwood branches in the hanging baskets all the time and just change out the little faux flower stems with the seasons. They are much lighter and don’t bang the door when the wind blows. I love how they look on the door.
The pillow I had before was destroyed by a squirrel. (Imagine that!) So, I found this cute fall pillow cover to replace the damaged one. The large pumpkin I have had for years is starting to fade. I’m wondering if I can paint it. I have a large vintage galvanized watering can that has sat on that porch for years but you can’t really see it in the picture. One of my favorite finds.

That’s a wrap folks of my fall home tour!! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed decorating for fall this year and adding to what I already had! It’s been lots of fun and I have loved sharing it with you.

I actually really like the original quilted placemats! Where did you get those? Or I guess I should ask, where do they still sell them? Or were they hand made?
Hi Priti, Thanks for stopping by. I got those on a trip to the mountains about 20 years ago. I love them.

My mom said the exact same thing! You can never have enough pumpkins for fall decor. By the way, I love the table centerpieces that you made and the pumpkin print. The frame made it look like a painted artwork. I had never thought that this was just a printable. Amazing!
