Blog Prompt – Today is National Tooth Fairy Day. Did the Tooth Fairy come to see you as a child?
I was always so excited when I checked under my pillow for that special quarter that the tooth fairy gave me during the night.
I remember when I was a little girl the night I woke up and saw in the shadows someone or something in a long flowing dress and I could feel my pillow moving. I knew it was the Tooth Fairy. I didn’t breath or move until the shape left.
Well, as I aged I figured out it was my mom.Â
Before my son lost his first tooth, I made sure I got one of those pillows made for the Tooth Fairy. Then I didn’t have to worry about not finding the tooth under his pillow and easy access. I still have that little pillow.

I’m just a country girl loving my geeky life with my wonderful husband, always taking pictures, getting my hands dirty in the garden, being crafty, exploring with travels and enjoying all this on a budget. But above all, living my faith as a child of God!

My older sisters always made losing a tooth pretty special for me. I also got a quarter for my tooth from the tooth fairy. Amazing that inflation never bothered the tooth fairy because a quarter is all that my children got too.
