Jim and I will be spending New Year’s in Nashville, since the Vols play against North Carolina in the Music City Bowl. Nashville isn’t a bad place to spend New Year’s, but it isn’t New York or New Orleans. At least they made it to a bowl game. We were so scared they weren’t gonna make it. That would have been sad, after all the turmoil they went through getting the new coaches and all. And now that the Bruce Pearl cannot play by the rules, what’s a Vols fan to do? We will go and tailgate with the Franzenes, the Hakes and the Ethridges. They are always a lot of fun. We will need to set our home alarm (CLICK HERE) before we leave for the game. Jim is forgetting that more and more these days. His mind is on so many other things and since football will be his most pressing issue, we will be lucky if he remembers his head. I hope he doesn’t lose it at the game. He has been so put out by the Vols this year. It’s not their fault that they have three coaches in three years. Heck, those boys are lucky they know which coach to listen to, with the revolving door on that sideline. At least now we have a good coach who will stick with us for the long haul. Even if he is from UGA!
