One of my favorite new shows on TV this season is Suburgatory. It chronicles the life of a single dad and his daughter who move to the suburbs in a moment of over-protective parenting. What happens from there is completely hilarious. All of the kids are generic and vapid, and the parents are no better. On a recent episode for Thanksgiving, one of the mother/daughter combos hosted a â??Founders or Feathersâ? dinner, where each guest was required to dress as either a Native American or Pilgrim. The only catch? Both the Native Americans and Pilgrims were dressed very scantily. The dinner was a disaster, as the entire group ended up arguing at the table and most of the guests ended up leaving in a huff. It was hysterical. It reminded me of pretty much every family gathering in my familyâ?¦ever, really. Minus the scantily dressed dinner guests, that is. Iâ??m so glad this show came on this season. Definitely check out Direct Star TV to see when it comes on locally and tune in. You wonâ??t be sorry.
I’m just a country girl loving my geeky life with my wonderful husband, always taking pictures, getting my hands dirty in the garden, being crafty, exploring with travels and enjoying all this on a budget. But above all, living my faith as a child of God!
