Monday Moments with Ice Cream Recipes

I have been craving ice cream lately and I do like to make my own. I have a small [easyazon_link identifier=”B003KYSLMW” locale=”US” tag=”mylifabu-20 “]ice cream maker[/easyazon_link],which works great for the two of us, but there are recipes out there where you don’t need a maker. There is nothing better than ice cream in the hot of summer time.  With school starting soon, how about a sweet treats for the kids and for the adults.

Remember Ice Cream Socials?  Making ice cream with hand cranked ice cream makers?  I loved them.  My brother and I would take turns cranking the machine until it was ready. If you haven’t cranked an ice cream maker before, you haven’t lived.  That was really working for your food!!

But, I have to admit, brother and I were so happy when electric machines came along.

Monday Moments with Ice Cream Recipes

If you have never made your own ice cream, you must start off with the basic Vanilla Ice Cream recipe.  Seeded at the Table has a great recipe anyone can start off with.

My favorite ice cream is anything chocolate.  This version made by Life Made Simple has brownies in it!!  Brownies and ice cream.  A great combo.

Another way to flavor ice cream is with fruit.  Strawberry Ice Cream is so good and easy to make. Ashlee Marie has another easy recipe to follow for a fruit flavored ice cream.

What caught my eye about this recipe is that its No Churn Salted Caramel Toffee Pretzel Ice Cream recipe, was the w words “No Churn”.  If you don’t have an ice cream maker, check out Two Peas & Their Pods recipe.  So good.

Enjoy,

Tammy

  1. Oh my goodness, that Salted Caramel Toffee Pretzel Ice Cream looks amazing. I’m so on and off with sugar these days, but I do love a bowl of ice cream on a hot day. Have you heard of Yonanas? It’s a pretty cool little machine that you can make ice cream from frozen bananas. My son is even liking it, but I usually slip a few cookies in his too ;).
