Handmade Gift Exchange 2013

Handmade Christmas cards are such a great gift idea. Learn how easy it is to make.

Handmade Gift Exchange 2013

I was part of the Craftaholics Homemade Gift Exchange this year and what fun this has been.  If you have never joined up, you should give it a try.  Not only do you get to exchange a gift with a new pen pal friend, but you also have fun with crafts.  And who doesn’t this time of the year?

Your gift had to be handmade, so since I love to digi scrapbook, I thought I would make Pat (my new digi friend from afar) some Christmas note cards and a desk calendar for her to use all year.

I used some digi elements from different Christmas kits to make different types of note cards and printed on card stock.  These make great gifts for a friend or to use for Christmas cards using your own pictures.  I love making these for all occasions during the year.  I always need note cards.  I found the note card size envelopes at my local office supply store.  I have also used kraft cardstock and envelopes you can find at Hobby Lobby.

I made one of these for myself this year and I know how much I love it.  Just the right size too!  Again I used digi elements from kits, make one for each month and cut to fit the stand-up frame. Actually, any type of frame would work here.  You could make it as fancy and as much room as you have.

I hope everyone who participated in the exchange had as much fun as I did and I can’t wait to participate again.   There will also be a linky party to view all of the other gifts.  Click on the button below for more information.
