When I was younger, much younger, I was a Girl Scout and every summer for 6 years I went to camp. One of those things that I truly enjoyed at that age. I learned so much and have long lasting friends from it. Someday I hope I have a chance to go back to the camp to relive those memories.
One of those friends I made then was telling me the other day she has been looking for NY Summer camps for kids so her grand kids can enjoy what we enjoyed.
She did find one camp called Camp Chateaugay in the Adirondacks up north and while we were talking I went to the website to check it out. Oh my!! What beautiful scenery and all the activities they have to offer the children. I think virtually every sport activity is offered, tons of water activities, a chance to play against other camps, and my favorite thing to do, craft activities.
I loved they offer special activities and programs for 1st time campers, parents and hiking trips. They have campers that come from other countries too.  There are tons of pictures to check out and I see camp starts in about 90 days. Looks like a great place to make wonderful friends and summertime memories.
I’m just a country girl loving my geeky life with my wonderful husband, always taking pictures, getting my hands dirty in the garden, being crafty, exploring with travels and enjoying all this on a budget. But above all, living my faith as a child of God!
